This is a photo of the entrance to the Treasury in Petra, Jordan. Petra is a rock city and archaeological site known as Moses Valley. All buildings were carved in (ferrous) sandstone probably between 100 BC and 200 AD.
The building measures 43 meters in height and approximately 30 meters in width. Currently, the originally smooth surface is wrinkled with bullet holes.
Because this place is very popular, many tourists are around the treasury and it is very difficult to take a photo with no people.
