This 42Mpx photo shows the highest mountain in Germany, Zugspitze (2 962 m). There is a cable car that enables visitors to go to the top of this peak. Moreover, they can swim in a beautiful lake with lots of attractions and they can admire the mirroring mountain on its surface. The water in the lake is lovely clear.

The Zugspitze peak is covered by Schneeferner - the only glacier in Germany. Back in the 19th century, it had an area of 300 hectares, today it has shrunk to about a tenth.

We had a very nice feeling from this place and we highly recommend you stop there and just sit at the bank of the lake and enjoy nature around till the sun goes down.

Although the recommended aperture number for this type of scenery is somewhere around 8 to 13, we used a lower aperture number, because it was not possible to capture the water level sharply with long time exposure, the ripples would appear slightly blurred.
